Together with NAPCORE, we invite you to join a new workshop series focused on cycling data, with the first one looking at use cases for cycling data standardisation. Find out more below!
We are thrilled to announce a new upcoming series of workshops together with NAPCORE (National Access Point Coordination Organisation for Europe) focusing on cycling data. After our successful workshop held last May for POLIS members, POLIS and NAPCORE are continuing our collaboration with a second workshop series open to the public and designed to delve into cycling data use cases, explore what data is still needed, and collaborate on identifying the necessary data types to enhance these use cases.
The first online workshop will be held on Friday 13 September 2024, from 09:30 to 12:00 CEST. This session will build on the findings from the previous closed workshop held in May, presenting collected data and discussing any gaps. Participants will work together to determine the types of data required for various cycling data use cases.

- 9:30-9:40: Welcome and introduction
- 9:40-10:00: Presentation of results from the 22 May workshop
- 10:00-10:30: Discussion on complementary use cases
- 10:30-10:40: Short break
- 10:40-10:45: Explanation of identifying data types for use cases
- 10:45-11:30: Subgroup discussions on data types
- 11:30-11:50: Sharing of data types for use cases
- 11:50-12:00: Wrap-up and future steps
After this workshop, further discussions will be held on specific data types to determine the need for standardisation and functional requirements to support different use cases identified during the sessions.
