POLIS relaunches the Public Transport Lab: A webinar series on the future of public transport

POLIS is excited to announce the relaunch of its Public Transport Lab. This refreshed webinar series will explore the future of public transport and its critical role in shaping sustainable urban mobility.

Building on the success of the previous series, this new edition will address the evolving challenges and opportunities that public transport faces in a rapidly changing world.

As cities and regions strive to meet ambitious climate and mobility goals, public transport is positioned at the heart of this transformation. The 2024 Public Transport Lab will delve into the latest trends and innovations that are redefining how we think about urban mobility—from automation and decarbonisation to shared mobility, MaaS, and the development of resilient transport infrastructure.

A new focus: redefining public transport for the future

Public transport is no longer just a service; it is a key driver of sustainable cities. This series will explore how cities, regions, and transport operators are adapting to the growing demands for cleaner, more efficient, and more inclusive transport systems.

Across a series of exclusive webinars, we will tackle topics such as:

  • Automation and electrification: How new technologies are transforming public transport.
  • Shared mobility hubs and MaaS: The future of integrated and user-centric mobility services.
  • Decarbonisation strategies: Reducing emissions and building greener cities.
  • Inclusion and accessibility: Ensuring public transport works for everyone, from young people to the elderly.

Each webinar will feature insights from leading experts and practical examples from cities at the forefront of urban mobility innovation. We will showcase how collaboration across sectors can pave the way for resilient, affordable, and high-quality public transport systems.
