The Annual POLIS Conference 2024—a joint event by POLIS, Baden-Württemberg, the City of Karlsruhe, and Messe Karlsruhe—is just around the corner, and we are thrilled to unveil the line-up for our Opening Plenary!

Titled 'Fix that Mix!', the plenary will unpack the pressing challenge of creating a truly multimodal future, where public transport, active travel, and shared mobility seamlessly co-exist.

The plenary will kick off with opening speeches from Karen Vancluysen, POLIS Secretary General, Winfried Hermann, Minister of Transport Baden-Württemberg, and Dr. Frank Mentrup, Lord Mayor of Karlsruhe.

Meet our Keynote Speaker: Philipp Rode

Philipp Rode, Executive Director of LSE Cities at the London School of Economics and Associate Professor at the School of Public Policy.

With his extensive expertise in urban development, sustainable transport, and governance, Rode explores the critical role public transport plays in building a sustainable mobility ecosystem and how we can integrate diverse modes to achieve an efficient, affordable, and greener future.
