Riga

Riga is a modern cosmopolitic metropolis with a rich cultural and historical heritage which is evident in the city’s architecture, and cultural life, as well as in its rapid urban development and active cooperation with other cities in Latvia and Europe.

The aim of the city administration is to turn Riga into an active and competitive educational and cultural centre that can provide healthy and safety for each citizen.

Riga is looking to be an active member of POLIS network to join the activities in the sphere of sustainable development of urban environment, energy and mobility, to learn and share the experience gained through previous activities.

The city of Riga is involved in multiple European projects such as HUPMOBILE, Just Streets, SATSDIFACTION, CityAM and UNCHAIN.
