Urban Air Mobility Taskforce Launch
Urban air mobility (UAM) is an emerging dimension of urban transport. As cities face increasing demands for innovative solutions, this session will gather experiences from across Europe to explore the potential of UAM services.
This launch event introduces POLIS’ Urban Air Mobility Taskforce, a platform for members and external stakeholders to collaborate on integrating aerial operations into sustainable urban mobility. The session will examine critical questions such as:
- How can aerial operations support local passenger and goods transport?
- What risks do these services pose to privacy and quality of life?
- Who holds the authority to regulate and oversee these operations?
Some highlights include:
- Dublin City Council’s UAM strategy and Drone Innovation Partnership
- Insights from California on urban air mobility
- The Province of North Holland’s UAM cluster and collaboration with UIC2
- EU-funded projects like CityAM, MAIA, and MUSE
This meeting is open to POLIS members and non-members, as well as external stakeholders who can provide valuable insights. The taskforce connects urban mobility stakeholders with aviation experts, fostering collaboration to anticipate challenges and harness the potential of UAM.
