TANGENT Final Conference

The TANGENT project is inviting you to its final conference on innovative and multimodal traffic management in Brussels on 16 October. You will learn about novel technologies and research methodologies, TANGENT's complementary dashboards, policy insights on multi-actor cooperation aimed at enhancing traffic and mobility systems, our case studies in Rennes, Greater Manchester and Lisbon, and more.

TANGENT aims to develop new tools to optimize traffic operations in a coordinated and dynamic way from a multimodal perspective, including automated/non-automated vehicles, passengers, and freight transport.  Starting in September 2021 and ending in November 2024, TANGENT is establishing new technologies and services for transport systems managers, including travel behaviour modelling, traffic network prediction, stimulation models, transport network optimization tools, and decision-making support tools like dashboards to enhance multimodal transport management. These methods are then tested in Rennes (FR), Lisbon (PT), Greater Manchester (UK), and virtually in Athens (GR) using actual data from various modes of transport.

TANGENT is funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme and is coordinated by the Universidad de Deusto. The project partners include AIMSUNNational Technical University of Athens (NTUA)Rupprecht ConsultCEFRIELID4CARRennes Metropole, ATOBE, Transport for Greater ManchesterPanteia, and POLIS.
