China Daily: Shared bike use surges in Wuhan after lockdown lifted
Bike sharing has bounced back in Wuhan after lockdown measures have been eased in the Chinese city.
Data shows that on 8 April, the day Wuhan was reopened, use of shared bikes increased by 44% compared to two days before, and saw a 70% rebound in comparison with the previous week.
During the virus outbreak hospitals and large-scale communities continued to have significant use of shared bikes, but now that lockdown measures have been lifted, cycling has been increasing around business districts and office areas.
