Bird resumes services in Paris
Bird electric scooters are once again operating in Paris. The Californian operator announced that its activity in Paris would restart on 8 May, three days before the lifting of confinement measures in France.
It is anticipated that restarting the scooter sharing service will capitalise on the loss of public transport patronage, and will seek to attract people to use their services as an alternative to using the bus and metro.
Bird prepared the ground and reviewed the organization of its teams present in Paris and in its warehouse so that compliance with health recommendations and social distancing rules is ensured. The company announces that it will regularly clean each of its scooters.
In addition, Bird is offering two free journeys per day to the nursing staff, who are invited to send an email to together@bird.com providing proof of their professional activity, in order to benefit from the free journeys.
