Polis joins forces with other organisations on the type-approval directive

This letter calls for a more balanced approach in each Member States in terms of assessing the emission from cars, including on how they consider the defeating devices highlighted by the Diesel Gate.

It also urges the Council and the European Parliament to give further room of manoeuver to the European Commission to also address independently and "on the spot" control check across the European Union.

In terms of timing, this directive will be revised over the course of this semester, and the dossier should be finalised during Mlata Presidency, in S1 2017.
