New ERTRAC chairmen elected

Dr. Stephan Neugebauer was elected during the last ERTRAC Plenary meeting on 25 June. More information about ERTRAC's new chairman can be found on the ERTRAC website.

ERTRAC is the European technology platform which brings together road transport stakeholders to develop a common vision for road transport research in Europe. Polis has been involved in the platform for many years now to represent cities and regions and is leading the ERTRAC Urban Mobility Working Group. Nick Lester from London Councils represents Polis members as ERTRAC vice-chairman.

More ERTRAC news:

• ERTRAC's European roadmap for Automated Driving will be presented during the ITS World Congress in Bordeaux, where the platform will have a booth. During the congress, ERTRAC is also co-organiser of a mini-symposium on ITS for freight. http://its.freight.bordeaux.free.fr
• An infrographic has been produced to summarise ERTRAC's urban freight roadmap and is accessible here.
• The roadmap on powertrains will be updated, and this work has started with a workshop about ICE research needs. All materials of this workshop are available on the ERTRAC website: http://www.ertrac.org/index.php?page=ice-workshop
  
• The urban mobility roadmap will be updated in the coming months.
