Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM)

Connected, Cooperative, and Automated Mobility (CCAM) is one of the next big trends in the automotive industry. EU countries and the European automotive industry should be supported in their transition to connected and automated driving while ensuring the best mobility environment for the public.

POLIS involvement

POLIS has actively participated in the CoExist project, a European initiative focused on preparing for the phase where automated and conventional vehicles share urban roads. This project developed an Automation-ready Action Plan for road authorities, offering practical guidance on transitioning to automated transport systems. The action plan outlines the necessary steps for cities to integrate automation into their transport infrastructure, ensuring safe and efficient co-existence between automated and conventional vehicles during this transition period.
