SMAPE x SDMH x SMALL Webinar — Enhancing shared mobility: Innovative and inclusive policies and tools

How can innovative tools foster better and more inclusive shared mobility services? Join the webinar organised by projects SMAPE, ShareDiMobiHub, and SMALL, and dive into the transformative policies and technologies shaping the future of urban transport.

POLIS invites you to join a unique webinar on 25 June from 14:00-15:30 CEST, featuring cutting-edge policy tools and strategies for shared mobility. This session will spotlight three innovative Interreg projects—SMAPE, ShareDiMobiHub, and SMALL—each committed to advancing shared mobility through groundbreaking initiatives.

During the webinar, participants will explore how regulatory frameworks and policy tools are currently improving and can further enhance inclusive shared mobility services. We will focus on how public authorities can develop new policy frameworks to improve the accessibility, inclusivity, and sustainability of shared mobility solutions and integrate them seamlessly into public transport networks.

Shared mobility is crucial for developing liveable and sustainable cities. In recent years, various cities and regions have piloted shared mobility solutions, but these efforts often remain fragmented within the broader mobility system. The Interreg Europe and Interreg North Sea programs' SMAPE, ShareDiMobiHub, and SMALL projects provide essential insights to bridge these gaps and ensure shared mobility is inclusive, effective, and integrated into EU cities' mobility networks.

Meet the organisers

SMAPE (Shared Mobility Action Programmes Exchange) aims to improve shared mobility policies by focusing on integrating shared mobility with public transport and Mobility as a Service (MaaS), influencing attitudes and behaviors, optimizing the mix of mobility modes, and establishing regulations and frameworks for public-private partnerships. It also provides policy recommendations for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs).

ShareDiMobiHub (Shared and Digital Mobility Hubs) seeks to enhance urban multi-modal accessibility by introducing and promoting shared mobility hubs. The project is developing a framework for agreements between shared mobility providers and public authorities, supporting cities in effectively implementing and operating these hubs.

SMALL (Shared Mobility for ALL) focuses on making shared mobility inclusive and accessible to all users, including those with reduced mobility. It addresses the unique needs of families with young children, the elderly, and individuals with physical impairments. Through its Policy Database, SMALL compiles best practices for accessible shared mobility policies across Europe, offering resources like plans, laws, recommendations, subsidies, incentives, and decrees to help municipalities and stakeholders implement inclusive mobility solutions.
