Training on Planning for Autonomous Mobility
The Planning for Autonomous Mobility will start on October 11 at 14:00-17:00 CET, happening twice a week until November 8, 2022, and address various aspects of autonomous vehicles to encompass the new mobility demands and to best exploit the advantages they can bring to society and businesses.
EIT Urban Mobility, IRF, and FACTUAL co-organise an online training on the impact of autonomous vehicles on the urban landscape, long-distance travel, logistics, economy, sidewalk management, etc. Considering the rapid growth of new technologies, on the one hand, and the increase in demand for safe, clean, comfortable, efficient, and sustainable transportation, on the other hand, transport automation inevitably advances. The development of autonomous vehicles brings new challenges as well as opportunities, which need to be properly addressed and embraced.
The adopted approach in this training is a global one, covering technological readiness but also regulatory aspects, economics, and social questions. The 8 sessions will provide knowledge and purvey tools that will help the participants solve future challenges conveyed by autonomous vehicles. POLIS will participate as a speaker, bringing forward insights from EU-funded projects on autonomous shuttle pilots and social consequences of transport automation, as well as other related initiatives.
Other speakers include international experts on new mobility services, public transportation, local authorities, autonomous shuttles, standardisation, etc. This training is open to everyone, professional or not, interested in the mobility sector, willing to deepen their knowledge, skills, and abilities to enhance their technical, business, and professional competencies in autonomous mobility.
