Brookings: How our cities can reopen after COVID-19

The COVID-19 outbreak is posing challenges to cities not faced for decades. On top of the clear threats to health, cities are also suffering through serious damage to local economies and jobs, as well as limiting the social connectivity that we need in our lives.

However, the pandemic will end, and normal life will return in our cities. However, what is key is that we learn lessons from this pandemic in what has gone wrong, what needs to be fixed, and what lessons we can take away from this pandemic. This applies not just to health, but to economy, society and transport.
